Buying Goods
On registration you will select a user ID and password which you should keep confidential at all times. Carlton Furniture Ltd ("[Carlton]") will not be responsible if
you do not maintain the secrecy of your user ID and password. If you become aware that anybody else knows your user ID and password you should immediately advise us on info@carltonfurniture.co.uk.
Description of Goods
Photographs, drawings, diagrams and descriptions are for guidance purposes only and do not necessarily represent the products on offer; any sizes, capacities and dimensions quoted
are approximate and also for guidance purposes only.
Carlton reserve the right to change the description or specification of its products without notice.
Prices
The prices shown on our website exclude VAT and are for guidance only.
Carlton reserve the right to alter the displayed prices without notice.
All pricing is, and all transactions will be undertaken in, Pounds Sterling.
Where a particular item is no longer available for sale, you are invited to telephone the Carlton Sales office on 0115 9422700 open Monday - Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm for
advice as to an alternative.
Any discrepancy in pricing will be advised to you by email and you will have the opportunity to revise or cancel your order at that stage.
Please note that delivery charges are charged on each order and the delivery options and prices are displayed on the Shopping Basket page and added to the total value of your order.
If you place your order by phone or online you have a legal right to cancel it within seven days.
Returning Goods
We must receive confirmation in writing by post or email within seven days of delivery. All items returned to us must be received in a saleable condition and if collection of an
item is required we will charge you the cost of collection (£100) which will be notified at the time of collection.
Availability of Goods
There will inevitably be occasions, due to circumstances beyond our control, when products may be temporarily out of stock and we are unable to guarantee their availability at
all times. As a result, Carlton will in no circumstances be liable for the non-availability of any product.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil any aspect of your order we will advise you on your delivery note/invoice and we will refund your credit/debit card account
within 3 working days of the invoice date.
Special Offers and Promotions
In order to maintain supplies for all of our customer’s Carlton reserves the right to limit the number of products on promotion or special offer that may be ordered by a
customer.
Cancellation or Amendment of Orders
When you place an online order for Carlton products you will receive confirmation of your order from Carlton by email.
Because we endeavor to fulfill all orders immediately we
regret that it is not possible for you to amend or cancel your order once it has been placed
Payment
As part of our online account system you can apply for a credit line and then order via your online account and payment will then need to be made within the terms of your account.
We also accept payment by Master Card, Visa and American Express credit cards and by Switch, Delta and Solo debit cards only. Payment will be taken in full at the time of ordering.
For your protection your credit \ debit card details will be encrypted, for further information please refer to our Site Security section.
Before your order is accepted your card details will be checked and payment verified. You will receive email confirmation of our acceptance of your order,
provided we have been supplied with a valid email address.
Delivery
Delivery will be charged at £50 for orders under £500, and delivery will be free on orders over £500. This is for U.K. mainland only, except BT, PA, IV and KW
postal codes.
Our standard delivery service aims to deliver your order on mainland U.K., on the Mondays to Fridays excluding Bank Holidays, except BT, PA, IV and KW postal codes. Delivery is
within 2 to 16 weeks.
Delivery will normally be made by 1 man and help on site will be required for items that are outside health and safety guide lines.
Due to insurance restrictions deliveries can only be made to the ground floor. It is the responsibility of the customer and/or end user to advise of any difficulties that may
be encountered at the point of delivery, i.e. steps, narrow door ways, soft path ways road access.
Delivery to other floors is at the discretion of the driver and full responsibility of the customer and/or end user or appointed agent.
Any claims for damages resulting from such a request be they goods or persons will not be accepted by either the company or its insurers
We reserve the right to fail delivery if we have not been informed that:
- Delivery is to a floor other than the ground floor
- Access to the property is deemed too difficult and/or dangerous
- The customer and/or end user or their agent is in any way difficult or abusive
In the event of a failed delivery there will be a charge of £25 for a subsequent delivery and will need to be paid prior to despatch.

Deliveries must be signed for by someone aged 18 years or over. If no one is available to receive your order at the time of delivery the delivery driver will leave notification
of the attempted delivery and return the goods to the depot from where you will be responsible for arranging collection.
Delivery will only be made to the delivery address specified at the time the order is placed.
Limitation of Liability
Carlton’s liability (even if it has been negligent) shall not extend to loss of business, income or profits; failure to make predicted savings; "wasted" expenditure;
losses which are not a direct consequence of the action (or lack of action) of Carlton or its sub-contractors, Trading Partners or agents or any other consequential loss. To
the extent allowed by law, Carlton liability shall be limited to the value of the goods supplied.
Statutory Rights
Consumers’ statutory rights are not affected.
Reservation of Rights
All rights in the photographs, drawings, design, "get up", information and part numbers on the Carlton website are owned by Carlton and may not be copied or printed
(except for your personal use in connection with the placing of an order) without first obtaining the written consent of Carlton.
The names and logos of Carlton, and other services referred to on this website are trademarks or registered trademarks of Carlton. The names or logos of Trading Partners may
be the trademarks or registered trademarks of such Trading Partners.
Data Protection and Privacy
The personal information with which you provide us will be safeguarded by Carlton and will only be used for certain specific purposes. For more information in this connection,

Miscellaneous
To order goods from the Carlton website you must be at least 18 years of age.
Carlton reserves the right to:
- terminate or alter the Carlton website service
- alter these terms and conditions at any time by posting notice of such alteration together with the altered terms on the website.
Whilst Carlton makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the content of this website, it cannot guarantee that the service will operate without any interruption.
